Never ever think being a landlord is all peachy keen, cuz it's not. I
love it when everyone assumes just because we're landlords, we have all
of this extra income. Bahahaha! What a laugh and a half!
Sometimes
you get a good paying tenant, but not every time. And when you get a
tenant that doesn't pay, then you have to invest in an edition, which
costs money. Like your already not in debt enough, now you have to pay
the Courts. By paying the Courts, you iniate the process, thus agitating
the tenants, and if they are destructive or rebellious, while being
evicted, which takes time, they will now destroy your property~ if they
haven't done so in the first place!
Now,
once you get the premises back, you'll need to repair it, before you
can even rent it out again, should you choose to. If you're fed up, you
can sell it, but you're probably still going to have to make some minor
repairs, and have some down time, while the place gets noticed to sell.
You're still not making any money.
As
with anything, there are pros and cons, but it also depends on
locations, with renting and selling, or for that matter even buying.
But
I will tell you this much, just because a persons record states they
are spic and span clean and have no priors on their record, does not
necessarily make them a good tenant. Also, just because they have been
evicted, does not make them a bad tenant. It all depends. I have had all
kinds, as I have been doing this for well over five years now, and
experienced quite a realm of people.
I will tell you this: pay your rent!!
