Upon
my findings and research through the many articles on the Ramsey Case, I
have determined that there was a lot of wrong doings through out the
investigation process, which have caused clouded judgment of the crime,
and allowed a criminal to get away with murder.
This article allowed you to look at other people, wonder about other people, and allowed you to open up your eyes around you, rather then to finger point, and assume. This article allows you to see the kind of neighborhood that the Ramsey's moved into, gave you insight on the friends they kept, and showed you a similar incident a few months prior to Jon Benets murder. It enlightened you, to see the fact that there was a dance school that Jon Benet and another victim named Amy, both went to. It tells you that there were people calling into the Police department with leads, and things they had noticed.
This article, also featured on the show "48 hours" opens your eyes, and allows you to look away from the parents, for the first time in years. And trust me, throughout this whole ordeal, Newspapers, other writers, of all kinds, wanted you to focus on the parents, and to hate them.
Mind you, I am clearly not saying they are guilty or innocent. I am simply saying myself, one needs to have ALL the facts, have a level playing field, and with this case, the level playing field was something you were without.
Many articles, stated that Patsy Ramsey called in the disappearance of her daughter on December 26, 1996. Directly after calling, she then phoned all of her friends and family, to stand by her side, support her, and to help her and her husband cope, as well as find the missing girl. The police did not seal of the crime scene, because of course they didn't find one right off. But they also allowed the family and friends to come inside, and show support.
Now you have many more finger prints and show prints to deal with. The Police asked Mr. Ramsey if he had searched the house completely, and then advised him to search it again. At that point, he and his friend find the daughter, in the basement. They immediately remove the tape from her mouth, and carry her upstairs. What were they thinking?!
The article I mentioned prior points out that weeks before several people had noticed a van scoping out the neighborhood on several occasions. A blue van, none-the-less. They also mention a man by the name of Helgoth. Apparently he committed suicide, but what's pretty amazing is how the shot was fired, and with what hand, all that of which are wrong.
But again, no one can prove anything. This man, mentioned to his girl friend, and a few others that he and his friend were going to be getting money, one $50,000 and the other $60,000. The ransom note stated $118,000. Christmas came and went, and these two never received the monies they were supposed to receive. They don't know if the Helgoth was involved, and who his partner was. Suspicions say, he was going to talk, and so someone shut him up. Helgoth's DNA is not a match for the crime, but again, there was more then one person involved. One could have simply watched, while the other preformed the lewd sexual act on the 6 year old.

There are also many theories that child pornography is involved, or something along that line, they even tried to pin the pornography onto Patsy Ramsey. JonBenet was in the public eye all of the time. She marched in the Christmas parade, she won numerous pageants.
I ask you this, why would the parents of a famous beauty queen kill their star? This child could have ended up with scholarships, and awards, and become a famous model. The comment of the bed wetting theory and how it upset Patsy is the public assuming, people wanting to lie blame. The parents are the easiest scape goats.
Another common theory points out why no one mentions the son, Burke Ramsey. He was never questioned, never tested, and never thought to be to blame. But what about sibling rivalry? What about sibling jealousy? If were going to blame the parents, then by Jove lets blame the brother too. No stone should be left unturned.
I also feel that just like with the death of Princess Diana, caused by the nosey media, that if there were less media circus, the truth might have some day came out. But instead, the media makes rumors, assumes, and agitates. Just to get the best story, along with the fame and fortune. If the press would have lain low, or told the truth and nothing but, maybe today would be differently.
Families are far from perfect; all of them have skeletons in the closet. And the Ramsey's are far from perfect, let alone innocent. Sadly, only God knows, along with the murderer, as well as Jon Benet Ramsey, God rest her soul. Someday, I hope that something or someone leaks out evidence or proof, and that this case can be solved. It is sad, and sickening.

I did find that the Police, and the FBI, and many other officials, including 2 different DA's, did and have done a lot of research on this case. Several have written books, including Patsy Ramsey. This case ruined a lot of people's lives, and gave others fame and fortune. And yes, there are a lot of cases in this world that go unresolved. But this one, was close to our hearts, because of the day, and the age of the victim, as well as the fact that some of us recognized her from pageants. This case is still unresolved today.
When I shared this case with my daughter, who has been in beauty pageants, she said to me, "Maybe it was a jealous person from the pageant that wanted to win, and that Ramsey girl just kept on winning, and that girls parents thought; the only way to get their daughter to win, was to get rid of the competition." My daughter is thirteen. I found her answer quite interesting, so I am sharing it in my report.
The reason that I chose this as my topic, is because I knew very little about this case. Yes, I knew of it, but not a lot. And the fact that I am a parent, I thought I should look into it. I knew the parents were blamed a lot, and I knew it would happen, and was the common solution, but I don't know if it is the right answer. There are still to this day, a lot of unturned stones, and things left unanswered. Sadly, as time goes on, more evidence is lost.
