According to www.americanheart.org in 2006: 81,100,000 people in the United States have one or more forms of cardiovascular disease. Think about all the people you know. That means you probably know someone who has CVD.
One thing that Americans need to do, right from the get go is the simplest:
~CHANGE!~
Change your diet, change your way of life, change the things you do, change the stress, and change your activities, and start exercising.
STOP Smoking!
The best way to do this, would be to find yourself a buddy, a friend, and team up. Work together. And then tell a friend, and keep telling friends. As you change, as you make a difference- as your body, your lifestyle, your way about you starts to look and act and feel differently, maybe just maybe others will start to follow.
Cardiovasular disease is not a joking matter. It is a scary event. One minute you are just fine, and the next, your life flashes right before your eyes.
The results of a stroke, can be tedious to the point where a person can have limited functions! A person can end up with only one side of their body working, or crippled, all because of a stroke.
Sure, there are people who have walked away from strokes to say they were lucky enough to have nothing noticeably wrong with them. I was one of those people.
I have had several strokes. I have occasional problems with my speech, and I used to be able to type real fast, and know my keyboard by heart. Now my hands are slightly off, and no longer know or sit where the keys are supposed to be. Sometimes I also get stuck on wording because of my strokes. An everyday person would be none the wiser, but I know, and my family knows.
My Father-in-law has had a triple by pass, he also has had many other heart surgeries to keep his heart in working order. To look at him without a shirt you would think someone had once tried to kill him. But in all reality, the Doctors have simply been trying to prolong his life expectancy.
What is cardiovascular disease?
According to www.dictionary.reference.com cardiovascular disease a disease of the heart and blood vessels. Plain and simply put.
According to www.healingwithnutrition.com- cardiovascular disease includes dysfunctional conditions of the heart, arteries and veins that supply oxygen to vital life-sustaining areas of the body like the brain, the heart itself, and other vital organs. If oxygen doesn't arrive the tissue or organ will die.
How could I avoid any serious health conditions?
The biggest way to avoid problems in your health conditions, would be to change your way of life, as I have stated previously. But as I continued reading the very informative page
www.healingwithnutrition.com they too, offered some other alternatives, as well as a change in diet and exercise.
Here is what I learned from that page:
The most common way is medications and surgeries. However, studies have shown that you should get yourself a second and third opinion even before proceeding with the surgery idea. There are always side effects to surgeries, and sometimes even complications. Surgery can be avoided, and is not always the best solution.
While you are young, make wiser decisions. Eat right, don't start smoking, drinking, and doing any sorts of drugs. Don't sit on your butt doing nothing but watching TV and playing video games. Get involved in sports, activities at School, even if it is just a silly club. Read, join choir, this keeps your vocal chords active and clean. Unless of course, you are already in band, then that is even better, because it offers you both physical activity and mental as well as cardio amongst other things! Walk, avoid excessive drama, think things through, talk your problems out, communicate with family and friends and live your life to its fullest. It is the only life you will ever have.
So enjoy it.
Also one other thing you might want to consider, some studies have shown, that sometimes heart disease does run in the family. Therefore, if someone in your family has any kind of heart condition, there is a possibility that you could inherit it too. So be extra careful. I'm not saying to walk on egg shells and pins and needles and avoid everything and sit in your house waiting on the grim reaper either. I'm saying because you know it runs in your family, specifically avoid things like smoking and fatty foods, because those will and could affect you worse and quicker than the person who doesn't have a relative with it.
What do I think would be the best solution?
Many scientific studies have proven that the effect of diet supplements and change in your diet and activity can and do heal the damages already caused by the cardiovascular system. Will power and mind control are also a big help. I think a person needs to know right from wrong. Bad habits are hard to break, so don't start something you know you won't be able to stop.
Don't be a follower be a leader. Don't smoke, drink, and be lazy just because your friends are doing it. Don't smoke because you have stress, and people and things like your job are getting on your nerves. Focus your stress on something else. Read, pray, talk to someone, your spouse, a friend maybe even a counselor. You were put on this Earth, into this World because you matter. Someone wanted you. And God has plans for you. He didn't want you to do bad things, to have nothing to live for and amount to nothing. He put you here to amount to something. It all starts and ends with you. Life is a choice.
In order to cure the diseases around us, changes need made. And those changes start with us.
Cardiovascular Disease is taking a lot of people, as are strokes, as well as many other heart diseases.
Our hearts are meant for love.
Let's make a difference --
The difference starts with you, it starts with us.
Let's start now!
