Choices: The Right to Choose the Way You Want to Be!

Choices: The Right to Choose the Way You Want to Be!

The World we live in today, is much different from many years ago. Or so it seems. And the way it came to exist, is because people became unafraid to hide the things they believe in, their thoughts and actions.

Ages ago, people were more discreet. Afraid to speak their minds, afraid to open up, afraid to be honest. Today, we are a much stronger generation-willing to speak up, be heard, and recognized.
Is it a good thing, or is it a bad thing? It all depends on how you feel, because each of us has a different opinion.

No matter what we do, there is controversy. And no matter what we do, all people remember- is the bad.

With the way the World today has changed, we assume that ages ago- people weren't like they are now. And that is not necessarily true. The only thing different is that people were more discreet.
Perhaps you are wondering what I am focusing on? Just about everything.

For instance:

Native Americans used to smoke peace pipes.

Jews drank wine.

And most of all, "allegedly" Mary Magdeline was.....ah, but that's just a rumor?!

Today people get high several times a day, and in more ways than one!

Today wine is on menus, served with meals, and many of us enjoy a little drink now and then!

But the biggest controversy, the biggest complaint, is the sexual relations. People, whom are gay, and bisexual, are bigoted against. Made fun of, and judged.

People automatically label these people; point fingers and wrinkle their noses.

They don't bother to think perhaps something led them down that path. Maybe there is a justifiable reason. Instead, we criticize and make crude comments.

Quite some time ago, and on several different TV shows, I witnessed whereas a child was confused about their sexuality. The child was raised that being gay was wrong, but still had the desire to be with its same sex. Later, you learn that the child was born with both sexual organs, and the parent decides what sex they want their child.

Don't get me wrong, I am not making excuses. But what I am saying, however is

"Who are you to judge?"

I have a friend who is lesbian. She was abused by her Father, and several Uncles. She married at the age of sixteen, and was abused by her spouse. She later divorced, and then remarried again, only to be abused once again. Now you might be thinking, she liked it, or asked for it.

Obviously not everyone knows what goes on behind the closed doors.

But this led my friend to a girl, and they started out as friends, comforting one another. Both girls were abused. They held one another, listened to one another, and helped each other through their personal struggles.

Eventually they both tried and furthered their relationship.

Through violence and hatred, they found one another. They are still together today, and are still happy today. They even go to church, and are living happy and normal lives.

I am not condoning, I am not saying it's right or wrong. I am however, saying that the Bible tells us not to judge, that it is God who will judge once we die, and at that time we will pay for our sins.
Agreeably, every Bible I have ever read says that marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman. And I have been to many churches, studied many religions.

But so long as the person you are "judging" is doing this in the comfort of their own home, living their life, not hurting anyone, why should it matter to you? No one is forcing it on you.

And as for those people who do and sell drugs, if they aren't forcing it on you, and your children-or anyone else's children for that matter-how are they hurting you? Now, if they are causing you problems, nightly rituals being noisy, and obnoxious-only then should it be your concern.

You have skeletons in your closet, whether you care to admit it or not. You are far from perfect yourself. There are things about you, which you might not want people to know.

Perhaps you smoke cigarettes around people, making them breathe in your second hand smoke. That isn't right, and you are forcing yourself and your actions on another person!

There are things you need to think about before you point your fingers. People have feelings, and they are all different. No two are alike, even if they are twins!

We have all been raised differently, taught differently, and learned and absorbed the World around us differently! That makes us all unique individuals!

I say that no matter what or who you are, so be it. It is your choice, and that is something we have here in America, the freedom of choice. We have the right to be who we are, nothing more, nothing less.

And I thank you all, for being you!

Humanism: Why Do We Lie, Discriminate, Judge & Hate?

Humanism: Why Do We Lie, Discriminate, Judge & Hate?

Isn't it Time to Stop Already?!

What is with people today?

I mean, they have to have their noses in someone's business making someone else's life a living hell, just to satisfy a need or what?

Has anyone ever heard the phrase "Live and let live!"? I am beginning to think there are more trouble makers in this world than there are not.

People today judge, lie, discriminate, and hate way more than they should. And it is down right sad. And don't be all pompous and say you don't either!

The place of business hiring, is looking for thin, young slender and energetic people. Not the ninety year old retired woman who can't make ends meet, or wants something to do. And by all means, we aren't going to hire the chubby one, over the thin one. And than lets talk breasts. Oh my, if she is chesty, and shows the cleavage, then by jove, we have our new employee!

The liar, "It wasn't me." Yeah, we have all met you. Not only are you a liar, but you're two faced too. Going behind someones back, talking crap about them, and then deny it to their face.

Then there is the perfect super Christian. "Oh my heavens. She is such a sinner." As you stand there smoking your cigarette and drinking your beer, watching your soaps on TV.

And the hater. "I don't want my child around that child, he is no good!"

This child of which you speak, how and why and for that matter, what are you judging him on?

Please don't even tell me- you are judging him because of his parents!

"No...um..I'm not, he just...I seen him steal, yeah that's it!" OK now were making stuff up. We humans do this a lot!

And we, as humans need something to occupy our minds, and unfortunately, not all of us have the ability to do something with our brains. For instance you are spending your slow time reading this, while Joe Blow is committing a crime and robbing a store, because he is bored. This is how we act. We need something to do. That is why, back in the day when I was a child (I hate that phrase, mind you.) We were taught idol hands are the devils tools.

Rather than occupy your time with hate, find a hobby. Read, write, color in a coloring book for that matter. Anyone can color in a coloring book. Use your time wisely, this is the only life you will get. You don't want to set a bad example. I don't care if you don't have children, so you feel there is no need for setting an example. Trust me, people watch you, and learn from you. Whether it is neighbor kids, or your own brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, whatever. Someone will watch, and wonder, and maybe even pick something up from you.

Don't spend your time hating those less fortunate. Don't hate those better off than you. Be grateful they exist, because in the long run, they too- have a purpose in life. Just because you don't know it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Don't discriminate and hire because of looks, hire because of qualifications. I don't care if you think the sexy or handsome man will look better on the counter than the over weight woman. We are all equal, we are all human. And most of all, don't discriminate because we aren't the same colors. When we die, we all turn to ashes and dust, all the same color of grey.

The blood that runs through our veins is red, and we are all like it or not-are human. Don't think because you are Christian, that everyone else around you is a sinner. And don't ever think, because you are a Christian that you are perfect, or even-closer then most. Christ himself was far from perfect. Unfortunately not all of the books of the Bible, are in it, to verify this, and this remains and argument to this day.

And don't hate, because you are jealous, because you weren't first born, and because you think you are not as good as the next person. If you aren't as good, and want to be- by all means, work at it! Spending time hating, is only making you sick inside, and ruining your own life, and it is shown in your own actions.

Love your neighbor, love your family- even if they do use and abuse you. That is the only family you have. Love everyone, and tell them so! They may make a strange look when you do so, but oh well. It is good to love, and yes- there are different versions of it. Madly, passionately, or just plain love of life. And what you need to give others around you- is love of life, spread it and share it.

We all have both inside of us, good and evil. It is what you choose to use. And you are in control, even if someone has told you your destiny is to be like your Father, because he murdered, it is not always true. You are what you make of it. You are you. You are human, and people need and love you. You just might not know it yet, but it's true. So lets vow to make a new start. Lets turn this World into a better place.

Come- lets get started......

Government Assistance: Utilities and Government Agencies (A True Insight!)

Government Assistance:

Utilities and Government Agencies

(A True Insight!)

How Do They Pick and Choose?

I have previously written an article published on Associated Content, about going without things, (which will be found in this blog its titled: "Going Without! A True Story!") and my event was electricity. And because of recent events, and what not- I am forced to point out something that might just leave your jaw dropped, just as it did mine.
The same place that I lived where we (my family and I) went without power; there was a family going without water. No one knew this, until we all started noticing our water bills sky rocketing. Several of us hired plumbers to check for leaks, others had landlords re-do plumbing and lawn sprinklers. It wasn't until one night, that my neighbor and I sat quietly talking on the porch that we seen how our water bills had been climbing. We witnessed this older woman in her fifties take a bucket and walk up to peoples outdoor faucet and fill the bucket with water and then go home. Why didn't she tell any of us, or ask even?! We were shocked!

                                  http://chanceseales.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/u-s-capitol-building.jpg

Because our bills had went well above reasonable, we had no choice but to inform the water department. The water department said we were responsible for these high bills, and were required to also pay more into deposits and what not. And you are probably thinking we were being crude. But you see, we are talking over four hundred dollars.

                                        http://www.projectflipside.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/utility-bills-2.jpg

And this woman, has a son who lives with her, in his thirties and he sits at home, doing nothing all day. Because he goes door to door complaining about his mother, refuses to do what she asks of him, we all started nagging him about getting a job. All he would do is laugh!

                                          http://usacac.army.mil/CAC2/AOKM/Connected/images/DollarSigns.jpg

So we told that water department what we witnessed, and ask if anything could be done, or what we should do. They documented our input, and we gave the location of the residence without water. The representative asked if their trash had been being picked up every week, to which, yes it was. That is why no one suspected anything. Everyone's trash on the street, was picked up. And the trash is a part of the water bill.

The water department called the Police, because this was theft of a utility and services. This made us feel bad; all we wanted was a waiver or something because we all had discovered the reasoning in the heightened water bills.

The Police go to the home without water, and speak to the people. That night, their water is back on!
The woman was pleased, so she came door to door bragging. We asked her why she had been without water in the first place, and she said because the bill had gotten too high, and she didn't have the money to pay it. But she has and had internet the whole time, and even cable TV!

                                      http://iwritearticle.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/money.jpg

I was flabbergasted, because of her priorities. Did she tell the Police she prioritized cable and internet BEFORE water? I am thinking no, and wondering if she played the role of a victim instead.

I know what you're thinking. But it isn't jealousy. I had children, and a legitimate situation, and no cable! My husband was working, it's just that the hours were lacking. We prioritized a roof over our head BEFORE our power. And the neighbors called child services, and we were investigated by them and the Police, and no one could or would lend a helping hand.

Why not?

What is the difference? Yeah, water is more important then electric, I agree with that. But where do the government agencies get their rules and requirements as to whom they can help and whom they cannot? Do they really even care as to the how and why's?

And yes, I was glad that someone did help the old lady and her son out, because it helped all of us out, in the long run. Unfortunately my water was turned off because lack of funds to pay for it though, and I still have an outstanding bill with the water department because of that. I had to move, because of the water bill, the over priced landlord, and lack of monies. All of this- compiled-happened all at once and was sinking us rapidly, so we moved.

The water department KNOWS that these people had no water, and they know there was a theft going on, they investigated. The Police obtained the proof for them! But I am still responsible for the bill. How is that right? What am I missing here?
