Mythology, Science & Religion:
Just my two cents.....

I've been wanting to start writing something like this for quite
sometime, but haven't had the time. I also wasn't certain if I wanted to
do it as a book, or what. But then I was like, a blog would be perfect,
because then you could actually start a discussion, providing you could
actually get others to respond; (crossing fingers!)
You
see, I like to watch these certain shows, and I've been watching them
since I was really young. TV was about the only thing we were really
allowed to do as kids, believe it or not. And as an adult, having
Children every two years, and surgeries in between, (not just sitting on
my rear doing nothing like some seem to think; including my own
Children! Sorry, I just had to put that out there...) the TV is
something you learn is always there.
Also
one of my favorite subjects in School was Mythology. Learning about the
Gods, and what not. And then, as a teen on Channel 43, WUAB in Akron,
Ohio; on the week ends every so often, there would be these old specials
with "The Gods" involving Zues and what not. It was a rather old show
then, trust me. It was so old, it was right when they learned, and I
will tell you exactly what was on the screen: "Technicolor!" In other
words, it was one of the first color Movies made.
The
point I'm trying to slowly, (obviously) get to here, is something I
have came to notice over the years while watching TV shows, series,
Movies and what not. I've noticed that a lot of them follow the same
"idea" if you will, and not on purpose. It's like everyone knows, or
believes the same thing.
So this
has made me do some thinking, and in order to make you do some thinking
too, I need to point out the things I've learned, so you can see and
follow along. Then afterwards, maybe you too, will even see other things
I've missed, or even disagree with me. Who knows.
I
want to start with "StarGate SG1" one of my ultimate favorite series. I
own the entire collection. Firstly, let me say, I give this show five
of five stars, I just want to put that out there.
Now
then, with "StarGate" we learn of the Asgard. now mind you, you can
argue about the spelling, some may spell it differently, it depends on
you, but I looked it up. Now on "StarGate" I'm personally noticing these
particular "Aliens" as looking like the ones the entire World describes
as seeing in real life. Just think about that one. Point number one.
Changing
subjects real quick, I would like to add a quick side note if you will.
Regarding Aliens. If they weren't real, then tell me, why is it, 99% of
the World describes them the same? If you're wanting attention wouldn't
you describe "your Alien" to look like the ones from the Movie "Alien"
with Sigourney Weaver?! I mean come on! Yet NASA and the entire
Government denies everything, and these people have "returned" with odd
pieces of metal in them, allegedly probed and what not, willing to be
inspected and by our own Government to prove their own theory, only to
be called "Liars" in the end?! Seriously? And yet, everyone's stories
match.....you tell me.....who the liar really is with that one.
Ok
back on the Mythology topic. Ok, so I've pointed out, that I personally
think the Asgard's as seen in "StarGate" make a perfect match up with
the "Aliens" people are claiming to have seen.
The
next subject I'd like to touch on, would be Thor. He is Asgard, but yet
in the Marvel Comics Movies, he is a sexy hunk of a man. Loki, his
brother, although we later learn "adopted" brother not a true child of
Asgard, but a Child of the "Frost Giants!" These Asgardians look nothing
like the Aliens portrayed in "StarGate", but still, we are reliving
Mythology in this Movie as well.
Thor
on "StarGate" was nothing like the Marvel Comics Character, however he
did have a hammer, and a planet that he derived it to trap Jaffa. Once
in the cave with the Thor's Hammer trap there was usually no way out for
the Jaffa, because they were incubating a Gua'ld. Death was usually the
result, but if you've ever watched "StarGate" they always manage to
save the team of SG1. In the end, they destroy the Hammer, ruining the
plan of Thor and a place to rid the Jaffa of growing more God's.
Speaking
of God's, the theory on "StarGate" whereas the God's are snakes and
need put into people? No, this I beg to differ with. Never in a million
years would I ever see anything realistically
Iike
this ever happening. A snake type creature, is seemingly evil, which
might be what they were hoping to portray here, since these Gods
were/are in fact evil. For that matter, I don't recall an Apophis in the
Mythology, but I could be wrong, and haven't taken the time to
thoroughly research it as of yet, if I do I will update this later, and
make a note of it.
Another thing I
was thinking about the Mythological Gods. (This is where I'm going to
irritate people to say the least, and putting it nicely!) In the Bible,
(Pause for affect) God states as a Commandment: "Thou shalt not put any
other God's before me!" Number one, I am going to touch on a number of
bases here, so be prepared. And everyone knows that Science and Religion
don't mix, so this is going to get touchy, but I need to get this off
of my chest, it's been sitting here since I was like nine!
Number
one, how did God know there were other Gods? And don't even feed me
that crap where He meant idols and worshipping things. Nope, not going
to work. And here's another, who says, (you're really going to like this
one! Probably not!) but who says that the God speaking the Commandments
wasn't Zues? Have you ever thought of that? I'll let you all think
about what I've said for a few....because I'm not done....
Here's
something else. Humans are far from perfect. You know it, and I know
it. For that matter, I bet you can find typos in this blog if you look.
Just making a point, I usually have typos somewhere, just saying. My
point being, with that said; God is stating the Commandments and they
are being written, on a concrete tablet. That in itself isn't easy. How
many times have you lost your place when you yourself were reading or
doing something? How badly would it freak you out to be talked to by a
Spirit, or even a burning bush, per se? I mean, be honest. And then to
scribe what you're being told onto concrete, yeah. You're not going to
make any mistakes, you're going to be perfect, because God told you to.
Here's hoping!
Now don't get me
wrong, I'm not slamming on the Bible, I'm not disagreeing with it, or
anything like that. Don't go assuming. I am a Christian. I don't care
what anyone says, Christians can wonder. I have been told, "A true
believer doesn't wonder, that's called being a 'doubting Thomas!'"
Whatever. I call it having an open mind, always wanting to learn and
educate myself.
There
was more I wanted to add, but I feel I may have made enough people mad
just by writing this entry, which was not my intent. So I guess I will
end it here. Maybe I will just make a continuance later, if this entry
doesn't cause me complications. I'm hoping it doesn't, I am honestly
being an open minded, person, I truly enjoy learning, and educating
myself, and sharing myself with others. I believe communication is the
key to success, and with that, we can all grow. Therefore, I opened
myself up to you all.
